I was intrigued to read that crime rates in the Western World have been steadily falling since the mid 1990′s. So I thought I’d search and see if there was a good explanation for this. Several articles suspected the drop of price in illegal drugs but this didn’t cut it for me.

I personally believe the emergence of the interweb and video games has had a far greater effect in reducing the crime rate but I’ve yet to find anything to support this. Has anyone seen a study that correlates this at all? I tried looking in the Daily Mail but ofc games and interweb cause violence
